First there was click, then a strange whirring noise.  Moments later a miracle began as the ghost-like image materialized in my hand.  This magic allowed me to take a mill pond with an arching stone bridge surrounded by weeping willows from upstate New York back home to Florida where such things did not exist.  I was 12 and I was hooked.

My focus now is to artistically isolate that which we do not – or cannot - normally see.  Sometimes that is done with speed or angle or timing.   It has been said that “if you want to take more interesting photographs, stand in front of more interesting things.”  Precisely what I try to do.  There are so many excellent Photographers and Artists in Rockport that have been capturing the local beauty for so long, it is really fun to aim for something that is both fresh and also art .
